About this position 
 
The PR and Digital Communications Executive is responsible for executing public relations strategies designed to create and maintain a favorable public image for both the agency and the agency’s clients. This includes, but is not limited to establishing and maintaining working relationships with media networks, project management and evaluation, writing content such as press releases, news articles and analyzing media coverage. 
 
Required skills:
 
Extensive knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques of oral and written communication. This includes; ability to write and break down complex and technical terms into easy to digest material for given audiences.
Ability to self-express in a logical and comprehensible manner, including but not limited to ability to present in a clear and logical manner.
Interpersonal skills to facilitate work with a wide range of individuals and groups. Should be a team player with abilities to lead teams to achieve desired results.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications especially Microsoft Word and the internet.
Use of social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram.
 
Desired education and experience:
 
A bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Public Relations or the equivalent. Experience of two years, in a public relations agency, media house or communications office, is an added advantage.
