About the project
“Immunization Jab Jab” is an innovative dual-approach radio campaign by UNICEF and the Ugandan Ministry of Health designed to boost low childhood vaccination rates.
By countering widespread misinformation with child-sung jingles and trusted grandmother-voiced radio spots, the campaign beautifully bridges the gap between education and entertainment.
These emotionally resonant ads successfully addressed local skepticism, building deep community trust and reminding parents of who stands to benefit most from immunization.
Ultimately, the initiative drove a greater uptake of vital health services, leveraging the power of sound to inspire action and protect the next generation of Uganda’s children.
